Individual Therapy Team
These are one-on-one sessions with a therapist who is completely focused on your needs and your journey. Frequency typically begins at weekly or every other week, eventually moving down to monthly as treatment goals are met. Sessions are typically 45 minutes to an hour in length and generally offered Monday – Friday between the hours of 9:00am and 5:00pm.


William (Will) Young, T-LMHC
My name is William Young, my counseling style uses a lot of Rogerian, Gestalt, Culinary Therapy, and CBT to help work through whatever my clients are facing. I believe that counseling is a team effort and I love having the honor of being apart of someone's healing. I work with adults and adolescents as well as support individuals within the LGBTQIA+ community. Some of my interests include cooking, exercising, playing video games, and staying up to date with pop culture movies and shows. I look forward to working with you if you decide I am a good fit for you!
Leah Schneider, LMHC
My name is Leah Schneider. I am a licensed mental health counselor with over 15 years working in the mental health field and a master's degree in rehabilitation counselor from the University of Iowa. I primarily utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and existential therapy. I work with people of all ages, but primarily focused on adults. I come from a trauma-based perspective and believe that all treatment must first start with a supportive, non-judgemental, genuine environment built together. I think that everyone deserves to have a chance to heal and love walking alongside peoples journey

Cora Holland
Cora is a therapy intern from the University of Iowa. She is open to working with all populations.

Mariah Doran
Mariah is a therapy intern from Upper Iowa University. She works primarily with adults dealing with depression and/or anxiety.

Quinton (Quinn) Drake
My name is Quinn Drake, I am an employee at North Star Psychological Center as a group co-facilitator. I have completed my undergraduate education at the University of Iowa with a focus in psychology and human relations. I have a diverse work background in the field of mental health, leading and co-facilitating groups focused on mental health in inpatient hospital settings, as well as outpatient settings such as mental health and chemical dependency centers. I am very passionate about helping others develop the skills they need to face the challenges of life and succeed in the areas they want to improve.
